Landon Franklin is an artist based out of Massillon, Ohio. As a child, Landon started drawing dinosaurs because he thought they were cool and eventually moved on to drawing other cooler things, like robots. Years later he stumbled into a convenience store and discovered Chris Claremont and Jim Lee’s X-men. That inspired him to draw comics, and for some reason he’s still doing it. Back in 2010 he started drawing the webcomic Zokusho, because he likes to draw zombie hitmen, magic gunslingers, and parkour gnomes.

What is your favorite part of drawing/coloring?
I really enjoy laying out a comic page. From the panel set up to the composition. I like to try different things and come up with something unique, sometimes successfully and sometimes unsuccessfully.
Very simply I enjoy telling stories with pictures.

That’s a tough question, probably Riot by Satoshi Shiki.
Favorite comic movie of all time?
The Dark Knight.
Worst comic movie?
Batman and Robin.
Do you listen to music, watch a certain show or are you in silence when you draw/color?
I tend to listen to a mostly 80’s sound track while drawing. I enjoy some other bands like Cut Copy, Cold play, Kids of 88, and I can’t forget my favorite band of all time Alice in Chains.
