Which creators are inspirations to you?
My inspirations come from powerful voices of the anti-establishment movement – Emma Goldman, Noam Chomsky, Mikhail Bakunin. As far as comics go, I very much enjoy Alan Moore comics and Frank Miller.

Why comics?
As a writer I create worlds in my head and the trick is to get that vision from head to paper, so comics for me, was a natural progression to show not tell. Plus, I do feel the need to shake things up a little as we need more anti-hero comics out there. I’m sorry, but spandex and muscles is not what I grew up on. Tales from the Crypt and Eerie is where it’s at.

Favorite comic of all time?
I’m drawn to good writing and dialogue. I love the seedy world of Criminal, and V For Vendetta tops the list as well. And I can’t help seeking out propaganda strips from the ol’ Bolshevik party, they are always page-turners.

Favorite comic movie of all time?
SLC Punk (yeah, it was a comic too).

Worst comic movie?
Anything Marvel dishes out. I mean, really, how many times can you watch CG explosions in different camera angles. Coupled with bad acting and cheesy dialogue, it bores me to death.

Do you listen to music, watch a certain show or are you in silence when write?
I listen to hardcore punk rock when I write – Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, Reagan Youth… The banging on chords creating distortion and disorder inspires me when I create chaos.
